As we move into the new year I wanted to make everyone aware of the Permian Basin Rehabilitation Center and some of the wonderful things going on at the corner of 7th and Alleghaney, especially our upcoming Telethon on April 18th & 19th. We have been fortunate to have a great working relationship with CBS7 for many years and are very thankful for those that make our biggest fund raiser possible especially John Bushman, Barry Marks and all the staff at the studio for their generous support.
The Telethon which will air the evening of April 18th and the afternoon of the 19th gives us a chance to showcase some of our patients and the miraculous progress being made in their lives. We also have the chance to recognize our generous donors. There will be many opportunities to call in pledges, win valuable prizes and see amazing musical talent during the entertainment segments. Jay Hendricks and Tatum Hubbard lead a talented group of staff and volunteers to make the Telethon a must see event.
Our area of influence goes throughout the Permian Basin. We rely on the generous support of our community because we are a charitable non-profit agency. The Permian Basin Rehab Center offers outpatient rehabilitation services in the area of speech, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and audiological services with highly skilled, professional, and caring therapists in all four disciplines. Please do not confuse our Rehab Center with other organizations. A fine Center in Abilene will air a telethon this January 17 but it is not associated with the Permian Basin Rehab Center. Our thanks go out to the people in Odessa and surrounding communities who have supported us since 1953. We would not be able to make a difference in the lives of deserving children and adults without your support.
